What is Pilates?

Pilates London W1Pilates is an exercise method, designed to lengthen and strengthen muscles whilst facilitating optimal alignment through all the joints of the body, based upon an anatomical understanding of the body's muscular and skeletal systems. Classes can include exercises where no equipment is required; however, various pieces of equipment and apparatus are available in a fully equipped Pilates studio, which can provide greater focus, support and ease of movement as well as increase resistance and challenge.

Pilates can be beneficial for just about everyone, regardless of age and fitness level. Clients have stated that Pilates has help in the management of their musculoskeletal conditions, whilst amateur and top-level athletes have found that regular Pilates tuition, in addition to their other training has enhanced their results.
